The 34th Conference of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) took place online.
The conference, themed “Achieve Sustainable Growth in a Turbulent
and Destructive Global Market,” discussed how Asian economies are shaped under
COVID-19 measures and limitations, challenges to the revitalization of the
multilateral trade system, China-US trade woes and impact on the global
economy.
Union President's Chief Advisor H. Çağrı Gürgür gave a speech on
behalf of our Union at the conference.
The Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and
Industry (CACCI), which represents the private enterprise of the Asia Pacific
Region, where TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu is Vice President,
operates in order to achieve regional economic growth by increasing trade,
investments and the role of business in the region. CACCI, of which 28 Asia
Pacific Region countries are members, is the largest business organization in
the Asia-Pacific Region, covering 40% of the world's population and 23% of the
world's economy. CACCI countries are predicted to export around $5 trillion a
year in goods and services.
