The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Patent and Trademark Representatives Council convened via video conference. At the meeting chaired by TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken and Chairman of the Chamber of Patent and Trademark Regents Kemal Yamankaradeniz, members were informed about the status of recent parliamentary activities such as consultation meetings with associations within parliament and visits to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority.
At the meeting, the establishment of workgroups
to operate in three different areas - international promotion, interagency
relations and legislation - was discussed and council members were appointed to
said groups. The information that the studies related to the Patent and
Trademark Regents Disciplinary Management Draft continued before the Turkish
Patent and Trademark Authority was shared with the members.
To take advantage of Resolution No. 2641
on the tax exemption which can be applied to service exporting companies and
the Support of Digital Activities of Foreign Exchange Winning Service Sectors
during market entry, it was stated that the request of Patent Regents and
Trademark Regents to be among the “companies, institutions and organizations
operating in the health tourism, IT, film, education, management consultancy,
publishing, logistics, foreign contracting and technical consultancy sectors
established in Turkey” as defined in the Resolution was previously communicated
to the Ministry by writing and should be renegotiated with the Ministry in the
following days.
