“Informative Meeting on Zero Waste Practices for Shopping Malls, Restaurants and Chain Markets” was held in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

The meeting started with the opening speeches of Mert Kuleoğlu, Deputy Director of Environment at TOBB.

Following the opening speeches, a presentation was made by Hülya Çakır, Zero Waste Training and Awareness Manager of the Zero Waste Implementation Department of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. Çakır gave information about Zero Waste Legislation, procedures and principles, implementation guide, how to establish Zero Waste System, training and awareness activities and administrative sanctions for the mentioned places.

Gülşen Taflan, Environmental Engineer of the Department of Zero Waste Practices of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, explained the information entries to be made to the Zero Waste Information System.

The program ended with a Q&A session after the presentations.
