The 5th Turkish-German JETCO meeting was held in Berlin on Friday, September 27, 2024 with the participation of German Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Climate Robert Habeck and Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat.
In the first part of
the meeting, presentations were made by the working groups operating within
JETCO on the activities carried out after the 4th JETCO meeting.
The Trade Workgroup is
co-chaired by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB)
and AHK Türkiye.
Following the
presentations of the Workgroups, speeches were made by representatives of
business organizations from Türkiye and Germany.
TOBB Vice Chairman
Ender Yorgancılar made a speech on behalf of TOBB. In the speech, support was
requested from Germany for Türkiye-EU relations and the launch of negotiations
on the modernization of the Customs Union, while the problem of visas and
transport quotas for business people was emphasized.
After the meeting, he
participated in the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TATSO)
consultation meeting held at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Berlin
with the participation of Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat.
