Joint Briefing Meeting-5 on the “Duty of Care Law” in the German Supply Chain was held with the participation of the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry and company officials.

The opening speeches were delivered by Mustafa Kemal Günay, Head of the Real Sector R&D and Implementation Department of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), and Duygu Delikanlı, Deputy Secretary General of AHK Turkey. The meeting was attended by Rödl & Partner Law Office Attorney Börtecine Gültekin, CPA Erdem Şamlı, Aktay Law Office Attorney Faruk Aktay, Siemens Supply Chain Management Department Director Umut Pehlivan, Viessmann Sustainable Supply Chain Manager Zozan Teker and company officials.

During the meeting, consultations were held and questions were answered about the Law on Duty of Care in Supply Chains (LkSG), which entered into force in Germany as of January 1, 2023, and its effects on companies, suppliers and supply chains worldwide, as well as the effects of the law and the draft EU directive (CSDD Directive) in the context of the European Union's Green Transformation goals.
