The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Textile Industry Council Meeting was held in İstanbul with the participation of TOBB Board Members Zeki Kıvanç and İbrahim Burkay and under the chairmanship of Council President Adil Konukoğlu.

Following the completion of the opening speeches, the meeting continued with the presentation of Gülizar Yavaş, Head of the EU Single Market and Green Deal Department of the General Directorate of International Agreements and EU of the Ministry of Trade, on the effects of the Green Deal on the textile sector.

Afterwards, a presentation on the Environmental Labeling System was made by officials from the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permitting and Inspection of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.

Following the completion of the presentations, the members of the Council made evaluations on the current conjunctural problems faced by the sector.

The meeting ended after the Council members expressed their wishes.
