An online webinar was held to provide information on the effects of the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) and Entry/Exit System (EES) applications, which are critical for companies engaged in freight and passenger transportation Türkiye to the European Union and will be put into operation in 2025, on the transportation sector and the obligations to be undertaken by sector representatives.
In the event organized
under the coordination of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of
Türkiye (TOBB), experts from Frontex, the relevant EU operational cooperation
agency, made a comprehensive presentation on the new systems.
In the webinar, details
on the operational changes and the rules to be complied with by the companies
transporting especially to the EU territories with the introduction of the EES
and ETIAS systems were discussed.
In the webinar, which
was followed with great interest by the participants, questions of the sector
representatives were answered and an important awareness was created on the
subject. Participants welcomed the event, stating that they had the opportunity
to obtain comprehensive information about the new regulations.
