A coordination meeting was held in Mersin, one of the pilot provinces within the scope of the Deposit Management System to be implemented on a national scale, for public and private sector representatives on the field implementation, technical infrastructure and cooperation requirements of the Deposit Management System.

The meeting was held at Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was attended by Vahap Seçer, Mayor of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, Atilla Toros, Governor of Mersin, Prof. Dr. Ferhat Pirinççi, President of the Turkish Environment Agency, Hakan Sefa Çakır, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO), Presidents of provincial/district Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, and dignitaries of the city.

In his opening speech, Hakan Sefa Çakır, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MTSO, emphasized the importance of the Deposit Management System and made evaluations regarding the application to be implemented in the province.
