- QuanT Project
The QuanT Project was
launched by TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETÜ) with the
vision of making Türkiye a global player in the field of quantum technologies.
The project builds on the university's extensive research experience in
superconducting quantum electronics, which has been ongoing since 2009.
QuanT, the first
entirely domestically designed quantum computer, was developed by a team of 10
people consisting of three academics and seven graduate students from the TOBB
ETÜ Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. The project was unveiled
on November 21, 2024, under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of
Türkiye.
With QuanT, Türkiye has
joined the ranks of countries developing quantum technologies, laying a
strategic foundation for digital transformation, big data studies, and a secure
quantum ecosystem.
