08.02.2011

TOBB Turkish Climatization Assembly convened under the chairmanship of Zeki Poyraz. While emphasizing the unfair competition resulting from the imbalance of private consumption tax (ÖTV) implementations, Assembly President Poyraz added that air conditioning plants capable of cooling and humidification are subjected to private consumption tax, whereas if the same device is sold under the name of heating/ventilation plants then it is not subjected to such tax. Poyraz stated that this problem can only be solved by equalizing the ratios of private consumption tax.

Turkish Climatization Assembly President Zeki Poyraz asserted, “All purchase done within the scope of inward processing permit supports import trade.” Poyraz explained that for export products if firms use local raw materials during production they face several bureaucratic conditions whereas if the same material is imported then the bureaucratic conditions are not even in question. It was pointed out in the meeting that in order to eliminate the foreign trade deficit caused by this scenario, it is required to reduce the negative sides of present implementation.    -Wastage of energy should be prevented.   Poyraz whom also referred to the delay of value added tax refunds, underlined that it is necessary to prevent wastage of energy resources. Zeki Poyraz added, “There is a serious waste of energy related to such reasons as lack of building insulation with making use of flue gas and yield loss of plants.
