TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended a round table meeting organized by the Seattle World Business Council as a part of his USA business tour.
As a part of the
Turkey Investment Week activities in the USA, TOBB President Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu, Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan and TOBB members visited
Boeing and Microsoft headquarters in Seattle, meeting with the company
authorities. The delegation toured the offices of both companies and received
information regarding the facilities.
Attending the dinner
held at the Microsoft Headquarters, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke about
possible strategic business partnerships between Turkey and the USA as well as
touching on the data indicating that the economic situation in Turkey is
looking up, “Turkey is fast becoming a high income country, open to innovators.
Conditions for cooperation between US and Turkish innovators are very
suitable.”
After their visits,
TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan
attended the round table meeting held by the Seattle World Business Council.
Speaking there, Prime
Minister Deputy Ali Babacan provided information regarding the economic
developments in Turkey, drawing attention to the developments in the last 11
years, he said, “Changes made in the economic field have enabled Turkey to
achieve a first class economy.”
He went on to say,
“We have always preferred to proliferation of peace and solving disputes
through diplomatic means. We have a great responsibility on our shoulders in
regards to the developments in our region, beyond our borders.”
