TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekçi, met with the CEOs of Malaysia’s Petronas and Khazanah Nasional Berhad companies.

Hisarcıklıoğlu attended PM Erdoğan’s Far East tour along with TOBB Board of
Directors Vice Presidents Halim Mete and İbrahim Çağlar.
Hisarcıklıoğlu’s
first order of business was to attend Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekçi’s meeting
with the CEOs of Malaysia’s Petronas and Khazanah Nasional Berhad companies. The
first meeting was with Malaysia’s energy giant, Petronas. 68th on
the list of world’s 500 largest companies, Petronas is active mostly in the
energy sector. During the meeting, company representatives stated that they
have small investments in the mineral oil field in Turkey, as well as stating
that Turkey is one of their target markets.
The second meeting
was with the state company of Malaysia, Khazanah Nasional Berhad. With 35
billion USD in total value, Khazanah Nasional Berhad is active in many sectors
in Turkey including airport management. Stating that they have 1.5 billion USD
invested in Turkey, company representatives expressed their desire to be active
in a wider variety of fields in Turkey.
