TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu hosted the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Ankara, Ron Keller at his office.
During the meeting,
Ambassador Ron Keller stated that they wish to develop trade relations between
Turkey and the Netherlands and went on to say that the 6.5 billion USD trade
volume achieved in 2013 is insufficient and that they want to increase their
investments in Turkey.
Keller stated that
they will invite Dutch companies to come to Turkey and asked for TOBB’s support
in bringing them together with the companies under TOBB’s umbrella.
TOBB President M.
Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that in order to increase trade, the obstacles
effecting it need to be eliminated, stating that the major issue negatively
impacting trade is the visa issue and that as long as visas remain in place,
the desired level of trade will not be attained.
