The President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül, received the Turkey – EU Joint Consultation Committee.

The reception which took place at the Çankaya Palace was attended by TESK President Bendevi Palandöken, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, TZOB President Şemsi Bayraktar, Türk-İş President Ergün Ataly, Hak-İş President Mahmut Arslan, Memur-Sen President Ahmet Gündoğdu, Kamu-Sen President İsmail Koncuk and TİSK Board Chairman Tuğrul Kudatgobilik.

During the reception, the support of NGOs to Turkey’s EU membership process was assessed noted that efforts to this end should be increased.
