TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu accepted a delegation comprised of International Road Transport Union (IRU) Secretary General Umberto de Pretto, IRU Middle East and Regional Permanent Delegate Haydar Özkan and IRU Executive Council Member İzzet Salah visiting him at the office to exchange views regarding the road transportation sector.

Subjects on discussion during the meeting were, the revitalization of the historical Silk Road, proliferation of the TIR system in the region, the TIR system crisis in Russia and the cooperation between IRU and TOBB in regards to computerization of TIR processes.

The delegation also met with the Customs and Commerce Undersecretary Ziya Altunyaldız.
