TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Labor and Social Security Ministry Social Stakeholders Meeting alongside Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, Labor and Social Security Minister Faruk Çelik and the leaders of NGOs.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Prime Minister Davutoğlu stated
that the Professional Competence Institution will be implemented with all due
haste in regards to work safety, “As of January 1st, 2015, the Professional Competence Institution will have
completed its preparations and will move on to certification and
documentation.”
Davutoğlu stated that the prioritized issues for the Work Safety Action
would be, process management, human factor and training, social responsibility,
raising awareness and culture and legislative regulation.
Davutoğlu said, “All our work will be discussed with stakeholders and
the Council of Ministers, be turned into concrete actions. We hope to share the
developments with the public in a month with a much larger participation.”
Providing information in regards to new regulations, in regards to
business life, Davutoğlu said, “We will increase sanctions as well as awards.
If an establishment has a record of no accidents, there will be no charges
while an accident resulting in mortalities will bring sanctions much harsher
than those present today.”
