The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in regards to the return of the 49 hostages held by the Islamic State in Mosul said, “The liberation of the 49 individuals without harm or loss of life is a great success and had made us as the Turkish business community very happy.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said:

“The liberation of the forty-nine of our citizens held hostage by the Islamic State without harm or loss of life is a great success and had made us as the Turkish business community very happy.

This has shown us that our nation unites as one heart in such situations; all state institutions working in tandem.

This is a testament to Turkey’s power.

I congratulate the rescued diplomats for their patience and perseverance; we extend our sympathies to them and their relatives.

On behalf of the Turkish business community, I congratulate the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, as well as all government officials who have been involved in the matter from the very beginning in addition to the National Intelligence Organization which undertook the operation.”
