In a message in regards to the European SME Week which will take place between 29 September and 5 October, celebrated in 37 countries, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the activities of the week will light the way for SMEs. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that SMEs must increase their competitive power.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message:
“SME-focused activities are being held throughout the country at the
same time as the European SME Week held in 37 countries by the European
Commission between 29 September and 5 October. To this end, our Union and
chambers/exchanges followed by private sector institutions, professional
organization and public institutions are taking on various endeavors aimed at
SMEs.
The number of activities of the private sector coordination of the
European SME Week undertaken by our Union have consistently been the highest
among the participating countries for the last 3 years.
Last year, 50% of all activities took place in our country with
endeavors such as the promotion of extrepreneurship in schools, activities
aiming to enable SMEs to go international as well as achieving institutional
structure.
This year, both public and private organizations aiming to increase the
competitive power of our SMEs with seminars, meetings, conferences and
workshops taking place in all provinces.
To that end, I hope all of the activities undertaken as a part of the
European SME Week between the 29th of September and the 5th
of October, will light the way for our SMEs.”
