The Palestine Trade and Business Expo 2014, organized by the Islamic Development Bank and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), was opened by the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.

Following the cutting of the ribbon, President Erdoğan was greeted by TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, donning the Palestine scarf presented to him during the ceremony.

Erdoğan thanked everyone who contributed to the organization held with the theme “Trade with Palestine: Support and Solidarity”.

In a short speech, Erdoğan said, “I pray to Allah that this expo is a source of inspiration for the future.”

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that 22 Palestinian establishment owners and traders are displaying their wares at the Palestinian Goods Expo.

Also attending the opening was TOBB Board Vice President Ali Kopuz.
