TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Düzce Chambers and Exchanges Joint Meeting. In his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu celebrated the 91st anniversary of the Founding of the Republic, “Two terrible events have plunged what should have been our most joyous day into darkness.” Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his wish for the rescue of those trapped in the mining accident which took place in Karaman and prayed for the grace of Allah on the non-commissioned officer martyred in Diyarbakır.
Emphasizing that Düzce is a city of brotherhood, Hisarcıklıoğlu said,
“Düzce is how our country should be. If our country wants prosperity then first
it must find peace. Where there is peace, there is prosperity and success.”
Pointing out that the Düzce Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a 5-star
chamber, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the number of newly established companies
in Düzce for the first 9 months of 2014 are twice the national average and
emphasize the need to encourage the enterprising spirit of the people of Düzce.
Stressing that the way for countries and cities to prosper is through
entrepreneurship, the TOBB President said, “You are as rich as the amount of
entrepreneurs you have. A million people join the workforce each year. Thanks
to you, 15 million people are employed. We must raise our youth with an
enterprising spirit in order to keep being able to provide employment to the
new people who join the workforce.”
Speaking about the Specialized Vocational Training Centers (UMEM)
Project, Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed the importance of the project for employer and
employee alike. He went on to outline the various incentives and advantages
provided for UMEM by the government.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu also visited Governor Ali İhsan Su and
Düzce Municipality Director Mehmet Keleş as a part of his Düzce itinerary.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Düzce is a shining star and a province with a
promising future.
Afterwards, Hisarcıklıoğlu praised the Düzce Municipality Director
Mehmet Keleş for his professional approach to municipal services as well as
thanking him for the Municipality’s cooperation with TOBB and the TSO.
Following the Düzce Chambers and Exchanges Joint Meeting, the protocol
signing ceremony for the 24 classroom school to be built in Düzce by TOBB was
signed.
