TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu hosted a farewell dinner in honor of Palestine’s Ambassador to Ankara Nabil Maarouf.
Attending the dinner were Former Secretary of State and Palestine
Economic and Social Cooperation Coordinator Vehbi Dinçerler, Arab Nation League
Ankara Ambassador Mohamed El Fatah Naciri, Jordanian Ambassador to Ankara Amjad
Al-Adaileh, Tunisian Ambassador to Ankara Mohamed Salah Tekaya, TOBB BİS Inc.
Board Chairman Ahmet Şekeroğlu, TEPAV Director Güven Sak and TEPAV Executive
Director Ass. Prof. Esen Çağlar.
Speaking at the dinner, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu praised Ambassador
Nabil Maarouf for his honorable conduct in defending the rights of his country
and keeping it relevant.
Stating that during Ambassador Maarouf’s term in Turkey, they have taken
solid steps to contribute to the Palestinian people and the Palestinian
economy, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the establishment of an industrial zone
in Palestine has been under way for some time now and the project is one which
will contribute to the development of industry in Palestine as well as
providing employment to the people of Palestine.
He also went on to talk about their cooperation with the Palestinian
Ambassador in the construction of an embassy and residence in Ankara, school
equipment and clothes for primary school children in Palestine, providing
equipment to the Makassad Hospital in Jerusalem as well as the Palestine
Expo2014 held in İstanbul last month in cooperation with the Islamic
Development Bank – a myriad of practical and solid steps to directly improve
the daily lives of Palestinians.
