Renowned for its textiles sector, Denizli is in the spotlight this time for its agriculture. As a part of the UMEM Ability’10 Project, 1,333 people have been provided employment by industrialists of Denizli who are continuing to provide employment in the agriculture and services sectors. Denizli has employed the highest number of people to the agriculture sector throughout Turkey via the UMEM Ability’10 Project. Administration of courses in Denizli has been conducted by the Denizli Chamber of Industry. Companies which helped make it the first in Turkey received awards on the 22nd of December.
During the awards ceremony attended by TOBB Board President Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu, Smyrna Greenhouse Commerce Inc. and Selin Textiles Industry and
Commerce Inc. received awards for providing the most employment in the sectors
of agriculture and production, respectively.
Osman Göksan, representing Smyrna Greenhouse, and Osman Akça
representing Selin Textiles spoke in regards to the benefits of the project,
urging all companies to take advantage. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu praised
the young directors and wished them success.
