Visiting the Silifke Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening of the new service building. Pointing out the importance of branding, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Residents of Silifke should brand their famous yogurt or both Silifke and Turkey will be at a loss.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu was greeted by Silifke Governor Şevket Cinbir, Mayor
Mustafa Turgut, Chamber of Commerce Chair Nurettin Kaynar, Chamber of Commerce
Council Chair Ali Doğan and board members.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu
said, “We’ve set ourselves a goal upon becoming president: To improve physical
conditions, to improve habitability and service capacity. Silifke has improved
physical conditions by opening this modern service building. The second phase
is improving service quality.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that they’ve failed to brand the world famous
Silifke yogurt as their own, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “When talking about Silifke,
the first thing which comes to mind is yogurt but we haven’t branded it yet, we
must at least register it. If we protect our values and brand them, we will
profit more. It is simple as that.”
