TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Ereğli Commodity Exchange, Ereğli Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karapınar Commodity Exchange, Karapınar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Çumra Commodity Exchange and the Konya Chamber of Industry Innovation Center.
In his third visit to Ereğli, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu
said, “Ereğli Commodity Exchange has been certified to show that it provides
the same level of service as any other of its kind. This is an honor for
Ereğli.
Ereğli is by far the most developed county of Konya. Whatever you do to
push the city’s economy forward, you should brand it. As a city of agriculture
and animal husbandry, Ereğli is sitting on a gold mine. You must preserve your
local goods. Everyone is acquiring geographical markers throughout the world in
order to preserve their local and traditional goods.”
Ereğli Commodity Exchange Chairman Zekeriya Ünlü and Ereğli Chamber of
Commerce and İndustry Chairman Enver Bozkurt touched on the issues effecting
Ereğli, touching on the matters of government incentives, the need to
revitalize Ereğli’s economy and problems in the construction of the building
for the Natural Sciences Faculty.
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu promised a school for Ereğli as
well as receiving the promise for solving the electricity problem of the Ereğli
2nd OIZ from the Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız
via phone during the meeting.
Afterwards, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Karapınar County. At the
Commodity Exchange, he stated that Karapınar would become a brand name.
Stating that the county is specialized for energy production,
Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the future belongs to Karapınar and Ereğli.
Emphasizing the importance of unity and solidarity, Hisarcıklıoğlu urged
the branding of goods produced there. He also state that investments into
education are without risk and will always provide a turnaround.
Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Karapınar Chamber of Commerce and Industry as
well as the Çumra Commodity Exchange afterwards, followed by a visit to the
Konya Chamber of Industry Innovation Center.
