TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his press release regarding the passing of Sümer Tilmaç that he was a treasured artist who contributed greatly to Turkish cinema and will be remembered with love and longing.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message:

“We’ve learned to our great sorrow of Sümer Tilmaç’s sudden passing. Tilmaç was an artist who contributed greatly to Turkish cinema through his own particular and unique style.

He has left beautiful memories for us all. His fatherly demeanor and exemplary character has won the heart of our nation. He will forever be remembered with love and longing by our nation.

On behalf of the Turkish business world, I pray for the grace of Allah upon him and presente our condolences to his family, loved ones, the Turkish art community as well as our nation. May heaven be his abode.”
