In a press release regarding the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Ramadan is the best opportunity for purifying the soul and strengthening the bonds of solidarity and sharing, “I hope that the month in which the Quran was sent will bring prosperity and fortune to all.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his press release:

“We are overjoyed to be once again entering the holy month of Ramadan, a special time for all followers of Islam.

The month which also encompasses the Laylat al-Qadr, the night in which the Quran first began to be sent to the world as well as being a month of fasting, strengthening the love of Allah – we must appreciate this through solidarity and cooperation.

Our greatest wish is that these days of greater value prayers and devotions bring benevolence upon all Muslims and all people.

On behalf of the Turkish business community I celebrate the holy month of Ramadan and pray to Allah that the prayers and devotions of all believers which will bring grace be accepted.”
