The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu held talks in Astana as a guest of the Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov.
Received at the Prime Ministry by Massimov, Hisarcıklıoğlu shared
Turkey’s industrialization experiences during a meeting attended by Kazakhstan
Energy Minister Vladimir Shkolnik and Kazakhstan National Entrepreneurs Chamber
Ablay Myrzahmedov.
During the meeting, programs such as land grants for entrepreneurs by
the Kazakh government as per the regional development program were discussed.
Relaying Turkey’s experiences in establishing organized industry zones,
Hisarcıklıoğlu provided information in regards conditions which Kazakhstan’s
regional economic program will provide.
Speaking following the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated it was a very
fruitful meeting, having been briefed on international law and arbitration in
regards to investment environment.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Kazakhstan is taking the right steps for
increasing production other than petroleum as well as increasing
industrialization led by President Nursultan Nazarbayev and that Turkey is in
full support of these steps.
Following the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Kazakhstan National
Chamber of Entrepreneurs, formerly named Atameken.
During the meeting at the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs,
Hisarcıklıoğlu exchanged views with local representative offices and chamber
chairmen throughout Kazakhstan via video conference.
