Lead by TOBB and in partnership with TEPAV and AllWorld Network, the competition for the fastest growing companies in Turkey, “Turkey 100”, has been completed. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed the importance they put on this matter and stated that they would make it into a tradition, “Because every growing company is an investment into Turkey’s future.”
The companies which entered into ranking received their awards at the
ceremony held at the İstanbul Çırağan Palace. Many businesspeople attended the
event. Placing first was Maren Maraş Electricity which increased its sales
income by 8,754% between 2011 and 2013.
In his speech, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Economy
forms a part of the fight against terror. Without peace, there is no trade;
without trade there is no prosperity. Peace-trade-prosperity is only possible
once it is complete.
Stressing the need for supporting and appreciating entrepreneurship in
Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the need to change the view of risk-taking.
M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu provided information in regards to the financial
figures of the top 100 companies, pointing out that 85% of company owners have
established at least one new company, “Isn’t this just what entrepreneurship
is?”

Stating that entrepreneurs represent the competitive power of Turkey and
that their growth should be Turkey’s priority, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized this
should be a social concern rather than just a financial issue.
Drawing attention to the wave of terrorism afflicting the country
domestically and internationally, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his
grief for the citizens, law enforcement officers and military personnel who
have lost their lives as a result of these attacks.
Stressing that the fact that they are confident that these attacks which
aim to divide our nation and destabilize the peace of the country will prove
futile, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Without peace, there is no trade; without trade
there is no prosperity. Peace-trade-prosperity is only possible once it is
complete.”

Stating that global economic fault lines are shifting,Exchange İstanbul Board Chairman Dr. Talat Ulussever, said, “Without a doubt,
this shift can effect many aspects of life from the technological development
of our companies to policy to our social lives.
According to current projections, 7 out of every 10 global company will
be from developing countries until 2025.”
Reporting that, in the Turkey 100 which aims to promote Turkish
companies on a global scale, placing first was Maren Maraş Electricity which
increased its sales income by 8,754% between 2011 and 2013. It was followed by
Karbil Software, Emza Energy, Lokman Hekim Healthcare Services and PAYTR
Payment and Electronic Currency Services.
Despite the first of the 100 fastest growing companies in Turkey being
from Kahramanmaraş, rest of the first 45 companies were in İstanbul. Following
İstanbul with 12 companies was Ankara, 7 each from Kocaeli and İzmir, 5
companies from Kahramanmaraş and 3 each from Gaziantep, Konya and Antalya.
