In his press release regarding Feast of Eid, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that holidays are an occasion for strengthening unity and solidarity among people.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We must reach this understanding. Pain, loneliness
and poverty can only be beaten by unity and solidarity, to be turned into
shared joy. It is fitting for man to be close with his brother and hold his
hand in honesty.
It is fitting that man stand against terror, violence against innocents
and oppression. It is fitting that we work together to build a world wherein
everyone can live freely and in solidarity. Holidays are days in which we can
see joy in all children’s eyes.”
Stressing that the terror attacks throughout our country and violence
throughout Muslim lands, the plight of refugees are leaving deep marks on
hearts, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“The Feast of Eid tells us about sharing, brotherhood and solidarity. At
its core are love and peace. We must all work to feel these sentiments and
overcome all of the hardships which are facing us.
I believe that we will leave our children a better world when people
prefer to let live, not kill; to love, not hate.”
