Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke about the energy needs of the world. Reporting that
over 1.3 billion people have no access to electricity throughout the world,
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “They have no lights at night. Many gadgets are not even
beyond luxury for 1.3 billion people. Half the world is burning wood or manure
to cook their food. Many of these people are living in Sub-Saharan Africa.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “G20 should have a say in energy production by
fulfilling its responsibilities instead of being a monopoly of multiple
countries in the field of energy production. To this end, we are ready to work
together with our governments as the private sector.
