The foundation for Muğla Commodity Exchange’s new office building was laid during a ceremony attended by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, TOBB Board Members and Muğla Governor Amir Çiçek.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech, “The commodity
exchange chairman comes from a beekeeping background. He and his team are
working around the clock for Muğla’s agriculture like bees. I would like to
extend my gratitude to them.”
Emphasizing that office and positions of power are intended to serve,
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I see the good examples of this wherever I go. It is
necessary to build structures to provide services. We must increase quality
continually. Material conditions are essential. I visited all 365 chambers and
exchanges in 2001 after I was elected president. They were working out of
single rooms. This mentality is now gone. 245 of them have moved into new
office buildings of their own from which they are providing services. Just a
single example is the office building of the Muğla Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (MUTSO) which we opened three years ago.”
Stating that the new office building will be used to provide the best
service to the farmers and traders of Muğla, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This is your
home. It is important to increase the quality of service. The completion of the
Commodity Exchange’s new service building will allow it to bring you services
and prosperity.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu went on, “You must appreciate the value of the plentiful
Muğla geography. Muğla is the eighth most habitable province in Turkey. Be
thankful for it. You are living in one of the most beautiful cities of the
world. You’ve everything. There can be no better opportunity.”
