In his speech at the Future of Kayseri Meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that it is very fortunate indeed for Kayseri that Mustafa Elitaş, a member of the business community, has become the Minister of Finance.
Stating that he believes Elitaş will perform his duties in attaining the
target export figures with the utmost diligence, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu
also touched on the matter of the recent crisis involving Russia, “This crisis will
not affect us even in the least. The honor of this country is above all else.”
Stating that Russia’s sanctions would have no significant effect on
Turkey’s economy Hisarcıklıoğlu put forth that there was no reason for worry.
Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out the fact that the unity and solidarity found
in Kayseri would receive Allah’s blessing so long as it persists.

Minister of Economy Mustafa Elitaş stated that they would focus on
research and development in production as well as innovative production
methods. He went on to say that the government would focus its support such
modern approaches.
Stating that Kayseri has no need to worry about any direct effects
stemming from the crisis with Russia, Minister Elitaş reported that precautions
have been taken in order to address any sectors and regions which may be
effected.
Former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız
congratulated Minister Elitaş on his appointment and said that Kayseri would
continue to push Turkey forward.
Kayseri Commodity Exchanges Chair Mahmut Hiçyılmaz said, “It is clear
just how important stability is for politics and economy. We request that the
fight against terror be continued diligently.”
