Received by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the TOBB Board of Directors delegation accompanying him extended their well wishes for Davutoğlu in his new term. In a statement following the reception, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they find the one year Action Plan proposed by the government to be very beneficial, “The business community and investors always want to be able to look ahead. This is what the Action Plan provides us. We thank the government for this.”
Stating that the election period is now behind them Hisarcıklıoğlu
reiterated the need to focus on the economy. Stressing the fact that the
Turkish business community is once again prepared to bolt ahead, Hisarcıklıoğlu
said, “Today, the Action Plan announced by the government is, in the opinion of
the private sector, very beneficial. The business community and investors
always want to be able to look ahead. This is what the Action Plan provides us.
We thank the government for this. With the increasing fog in the region, this
roadmap is of great importance.”
Stating that they will be working in tandem with the government in
regards to the necessary reforms, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they would also be
following up on the laws regarding the same.
Reporting that significant growth rate has been achieved in the third
quarter, Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed the need to reattain pre-crisis momentum in
growth.
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they’ve relayed the issues affecting the
business world, especially the matter of Russia and the effects of the crisis
to the Prime Minister. Stating that they’ve talked on such matters as the
crisis center formed by TOBB, the proposed increase to minimum wage as well as
its effects on the private sector, Hisarcıklıoğlu also mentioned that they
found opportunity to relay the worries of the representatives of the business
community in the East and Southeast Regions affected by terrorism.
