TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Eskişehir Commodity Exchange and met with Eskişehir Commodity Exchange Chair Ömer Zeydan and council members.

Stating that Eskişehir Commodity Exchange is one of the model exchanges of Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Eskişehir deserves the best of everything. The exchange is already accredited.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Eskişehir is an important agricultural city with great potential.

Emphasizing the need generate added value for agricultural goods, the TOBB President said, “The potential is there. We must pair agricultural and livestock products with the industry in order to profit more. The way is open for agri-based industry. Every year, 78 million people are added to the global population. In the last decade, 500 million people migrated to urban centers from rural areas, becoming consumers.”

Also present at the visit were Eskişehir Governor Azim Tuna, Eskişehir PM Harun Karacan, TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz, GTİ Co. Inc. Board Chair Arif Parmaksız and TOBB ETU Hospital Board Chair Şadan Eren.
