TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Bozüyük Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Addressing the council members, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said,
“Bozüyük is one of Turkey’s most developed counties. You are higher than
Bilecik in regards to education. The liveliness of economy is indicated by
growing population. Bozüyük has had an increase of 6% in its population in the
last 5 years. Among Turkey’s 1,000 largest companies, there is a company which
is located in Bozüyük. These are points of pride.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that there are various issues affecting the
business world, “At the moment, I’m paying my employees 1,500TRY, but only
1,000TRY goes into their pockets. Why would I object to another 300TRY going
into my employee’s pocket? Them earning more means they will also be spending
more. We are the country with the highest amount of tax burden on employment in
the world.” Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey is the top country in the world
for the amount of burdens placed on an employer for employing people. “All that
we want is to compete on equal footing with our global competitors.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu also touched on the matter of the incentives system and the
need to reevaluate it on a provincial and county basis in an affirmative
fashion.
Stating that hazardous and very hazardous sectors require certified
workers, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that chambers and exchanges have begun
certification courses to this end.
