TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the award ceremony for the members of the Bandırma Commodity Exchange who performed extraordinarily in 2012-2013-2014, stating that economy of Bandırma is livelier than many other places.
Pointing out that many differing views come together in Bandırma,
Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“This is true abundance. I congratulate you all. There are 7 billion
people in the world; what’s important is coming together. This is present in
Bandırma. September 17th University has been founded in Bandırma.
This is very important for the business community and the industry. It is very
important for the agriculture and livestock farming present here. In addition,
Bandırma Commodity Exchange is an accredited 5 star chamber.”
- Number of entrepreneurs very
important
Reporting that the ratio of entrepreneurs in Bandırma is above the
national average, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the importance entrepreneurship.
Stating that entrepreneurs go to each village, each neighborhood, making
great self-sacrifices in order to bring prosperity throughout the country,
Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his gratitude to women entrepreneurs for providing
good role models for young women, “Our economy needs entrepreneurs. I urge
families to raise their children as entrepreneurs.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran,
the efforts to increase oil prices again, the effects of the US economy and
China on markets as well as the ongoing terror attacks present significant risk

flagship”
Food, Agriculture and Livestock Deputy Minister Mehmet Daniş emphasized
the importance of Balıkesir as an agricultural center.
Pointing out that the support the AKP government provides farmers is not
to be underestimated, Daniş said, “We want to stand beside our producers, to
plan and act with them. We, the ministry, are ready to provide all the support
the region needs.”
Following the speeches, awards were presented.
Attending the ceremony were Balıkesir Governor Mustafa Yaman, Food,
Agriculture and Livestock Provincial Director Zekeriya Erdurmuş and many
exchange members.
