The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) has expressed its support for the Directorate of Religious Affairs’ “Time to Mend Wounds” campaign to provide aid to the Turkmen of Bayırbucak, families of terror attack victims and citizens affected by terror attacks in Southeastern Anatolia.
Director of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez visited TOBB
President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office in order to provide information
on and ask support for the “Time to Mend Wounds” campaign.
Following the meeting, Görmez and Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke about the visit.
Thanking the Directorate of Religious Affairs for the campaign TOBB
President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We, the Turkish business community,
fully support the Time to Mend Wounds campaign which began last week. I would
like to extend my gratitude to the campaign for their helping held towards
campaign to the Turkmen of Bayırbucak and the victims of terror attacks. Our
culture dictates that we won’t sleep easy when our neighbors go hungry. The
Turkish business community will fulfill its duty regarding this matter.”
Thanking TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu for urging the Turkish business
community to take part in this campaign, Görmez drew attention the plight of
the victims of terrorism in Southeastern Turkey as well as Turkmen refugees
from Bayırbucak of Syria, “We urge all business people, industrialists,
artists; everyone in Turkey to support this campaign. I would like to thank TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu for his support.
The spiritual aspect of this campaign is of the utmost importance. We
all must mend each other’s wounds and bring about peace to the ring of fire
which surrounds us through solidarity with the grace of Allah.”
