TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his Bara’ah Night press release, stated that this is a night to seek redemption from the Creator; a time for prayer and repentance.
“Herald of Ramadan, Bara’ah Night is a time for seeking forgiveness from
the Creator; for mending relations and absolving oneself from feelings of hate
and vengeance.
Bara’ah Night, similar to other holy nights, is a chance for
contemplation, gratefulness, renewal. On this special night, I believe that
Muslims will look to their consciences, forget disputes, seek peace and
strengthen solidarity.
It is with these thoughts and sentiments that I celebrate the Bara’ah
Night of the whole Muslim community and hope that this meaningful night will
illuminate our souls and strengthen our unity and solidarity.”
