TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with the members of the EU JCC, visited The Grand National Assembly following the coup attempt, watched the General Assembly meeting and extended their condolences to the parties.

Speaking at the reception, Labor and Social Security Minister Soylu began his speech by thanking NGOs and congratulating. Stating that they’ve not witnessed the like of the events which took place in the last 20 hours in the 21^st century. Soylu stated that a fraction inside the TAF have attempted to put into effect a plan which they’ve had for a long time.

AK Party Group Deputy Chair Mustafa Elitaş stated that a terrorist group has attempted an uprising under the guise of government in Turkey.

Elitaş went on, “The words written on the walls of the TGNA, ‘Sovereignty rests unconditionally with the nation,’ were actualized yesterday. Today, on the 15^th of July, the people chose to stop the obstruction to its will.”

The delegation also met with CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
