In his August 30th Victory Day address, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that in 1922, the sound defeat of the forces of invasion with the Great Assault is the reflection of this nation’s love of freedom and irrepressible spirit.
Hisarcıklıoğlu
said, “The spirit of victory of August 30th is the core of our identity.”

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his address:
“We are proudly
celebrating the anniversary of the Great Assault’s victory in Dumlupınar under
the command of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in August 30th, 1922.
Following the
Battle of Dumlupınar, conducted under the command of the Commander-in-Chief
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, also known as the Field Battle of the
Commander-in-Chief, invading forces were driven out of the country.
The martyrs and
veterans of the War of Independence, of all ages, who put everything they had
on the line, will forever reside in our hearts.
To be worthy of
their charge, we will defend these lands and strive to carry our country
forwards in the race of civilizations. This is our word; it is our debt of
honor to our martyrs.
On behalf of the
Turkish business world, I celebrate the August 30th Victory day, our
nation will thrive in a bright future so long as we stand united and in
solidarity with our brothers.”
