TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received the Japanese Ambassador appointed to Ankara in April 2016, Hiroshi Oka, at his office. During the reception, Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated Ambassador Oka for his appointment and expressed his belief that relations with Japan will continue to grow stronger.
Stating that their
historical friendship and economic cooperation will go even further,
Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that Japanese businesspeople are already taking part in
many projects in Turkey. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the
importance of working together in third countries as well as bilateral trade.
Pointing out that
there are many joint investment firms formed in partnership by Turkish and
Japanese countries, Japanese Ambassador Oka agreed the need to increase
bilateral trade. Oka also voiced the concerns of Japanese countries in regards
to recent events in Turkey.
