TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with a business delegation, met with Russian First Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alexey Likhachev. In a statement following the meeting which took place in Moscow, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit Turkey in October, “We anticipate that pioneering projects such as Turkish Flow will be discussed in addition to lifting limitations imposed on Turkish businessmen.”
Emphasizing that they
want a rapid normalization to relations between Turkey and Russia,
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they’ve instituted good relations with Russian
industrialists and entrepreneurs and that their aim is to further these
relations.
- Lifting of visas for businessmen
Pointing out that the
visa processes implemented by Russia for Turkish citizens has negatively
impacted Turkish businessmen, Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed their hope that a
solution will be brought to this situation to address the issues facing
businessmen traveling between the two countries frequently.

Secretary Dmitry Peskov also stated that it is possible that President Putin
will visit Turkey in October and that the necessary announcement will be
forthcoming once preparations are complete.
