TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Board of Directors of the Commodity Exchange, Members of the Council and Diyarbakır Provincial Women Entrepreneurs on the Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange and listened to the demands and expectations of the business community. Hisarcıklıoğlu engaged with citizens in the city center together with the chairpersons of the chamber / commodity exchanges; boosting the morale of the citizens who chatted with him. Hisarcıklıoğlu explained that if there is unity and solidarity, all problems can be overcome and the economy will gain strength.

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Board of Directors of the Commodity Exchange,
Members of the Council and Diyarbakır Provincial Women Entrepreneurs at the
Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange and held a consultation meeting. Hisarcıklıoğlu
received information from the representatives of the business community about
their demands and endeavors during the meeting. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that
trade is necessary for prosperity and peace is necessary for trade. “I
congratulate my brothers and sisters in Diyarbakır. They have always played an
important role in the unity and the solidarity of the country. We will love
each other and Allah will bless us with his abundance.”
Listening to the troubles
of the business community representatives about the economy, the TOBB President
said that the economic troubles are not unique to Diyarbakır, not even to
Turkey; that growth rates all over the world are low and troubles present. Reporting
that the contraction in the world economy has been in effect since 2009,
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that all efforts are aimed at increasing growth rates.
Hisarcıklıoğlu providing information about the work done to increase trade,
gave information about the various opportunities and support established to enable
access to financial tools through the Credit Guarantee Fund as well as the
price advantage of domestic commodities. At the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu, who received
requests for support of female entrepreneurs, emphasized that there are
important mechanisms which may aid in this issue and that the way for female
entrepreneurs should be opened. Pointing to the work of TOBB Women
Entrepreneurs Council, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that their efforts are bearing
fruit.

Speaking at the
meeting Diyarbakir Commodity Exchange President Engin Yeşil, addressed TOBB
President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, “You are a part of the public, just as you
were yesterday, listening to our troubles. I thank you for the great importance
that you’ve shown our city.” Yeşil went on to inform Hisarcıklıoğlu about the
work of the Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange.

Yeşil gave information about the latest situation of Grain Laboratory
Development Project, Licensed Warehousing Project, Seed Certification
Laboratory and Specialized Organized Industrial Zone based on Agriculture which
was completed and continuing in Diyarbakır Commodity Exchange.

President Ahmet Ay informed TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu about the Exchange
Administration and administrative issues and said that they will continue to
serve and Diyarbakır Province and our members with the same determination in
the next term with the support of TOBB period.

Women Entrepreneurs Council Chair Hatice Akyildir stated the need to encourage
women entrepreneurs more; expressed the troubles they have experienced.

Mosque in the city center, stated that, “I trust the hearts of the people of
Diyarbakır. Through public and private sector cooperation, all problems will be
overcome. We will do this as soon as possible.”
