The union of Chambers and Commodity Exchange of Turkey (TOBB) Regional Meetings started with the Eastern and Southeastern Regional Meeting. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that, having convened to consult, chambers and commodity exchanges should inform their members about the services they provide and that the business community should benefit from these opportunities.
While
a comprehensive presentation on developments in the economy was given at the
TOBB Twin Towers meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu provided information regarding about
what they wanted for the private sector in the recent period, what has been
achieved and what changes have occurred.
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
pointing out their promise to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding employment,
underlined the fact that they’ve reached 1.2 in 6 months and set a goal of 1.5
million jobs in 1 year.
Pointing
out that the growth figures are pleasing, the TOBB President stated that he
believes that this high growth will continue until the end of the year.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We see the reflection of growth in employment.” M. Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu said that if the economic growth increases, the country will
become richer and that this will solve the problem of unemployment.
TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu noted that the number of bounced checks has decreased
by 28% compared to the previous year. “We were complaining about unrequited
withdrawals last year. It has decreased. There is an increase in bonds. I hope
that there will be a suitable resolution for this, too.” Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed
out that revitalization in the automotive, home appliances and furniture
sectors can be observed and stated that an increase in investments is necessary.
The
results of the survey conducted among council members were also evaluated.
