TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his August 30th Victory Day address, said that this great victory is a day of pride for a country devoted to its homeland and independence.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Our great martyrs and veterans, to whom we are
eternally grateful, will live on in our hearts forever.”
The TOBB President said the following in his address:
“We celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Battle of the
Commander-in-Chief, which began on August 26th and culminated in the
victory of the Turkish army on August 30th.
History has shown that our nation cannot and has never lived under the
yoke of others.
The Battle of the Commander-in-Chief, won under the most difficult
conditions, is the best example of this.
We are eternally grateful and thankful to the Veteran Mustafa Kemal
Atatürk, his comrades in arms and those who shouldered struggle.
Their fight gives us immense power when looking at the future.
We know that when we are united and in solidarity with each other, none
can stop us.
In order to be worthy of their sacrifices, we will make every effort to
bring our country to the forefront in the race of civilization.
This is our promise, our oath of honor to our martyrs.
On behalf of the Turkish business community, happy August 30th
Victory Day to our nation.”
