is host to 27 ancient cities. Milas has 3,000 years of cultural accumulation. All
kinds of tourism could be conducted easily.
Its
plains, the sea, the beautiful beaches and coves, the lake, the forests, the
mountains, the olive groves, the lagoons, the birds of paradise. Milas is
beautiful, wealthy and modest.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu,
pointing out that world tourism is getting moving on from sun-sand-sea and moving
towards culture and health tourism, stated that Milas will attain success as
quickly as she deserves.
TOBB
President Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that Milas with its coves, is one of Turkey’s
precious treasures, said: “I would like to congratulate the Chamber President
Resit Özer, who has made great efforts for the development of Milas, and I am
very excited about bringing new works to Muğla.
Milas
revitalized the OIZ from its decrepit state, made sure that activity resumed
and attracted investors here.
The
chamber has been working to ensure that olives and olive oil, the main pillar
of the economy and the most important export product of Milas, are assigned the
value they deserve. Milas has turned olive oil into a valuable product with its
geographical mark; the producers are finally beginning to benefit from their
goods.
Now
the chamber has started to work on Milas' table olive oil to gain its geographical
mark status.
You
are also organizing the Olive Harvest Festival to promote Milas Olive Oil.
These are always works of vision - Branding and Promotion. We’ve spoken with the
Finance Minister on this subject together with the President. Your efforts to protect
and further develop Milas' historical-cultural value, as well as the important
export product, the Milas rug is also noted.”
Milas
CCI Chair Reşit Özer provided information regarding the chamber’s activities,
he emphasized that Milas is particularly ambitious about honey; he encouraged support
for quality olive oil. Explaining that Milas is prominent in bream production, Özer
urged lowering VAT to 1% from 8% for fish.
