Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, visiting in Ankara, received TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Abbas told Hisarcıklıoğlu that TOBB's initiative will open the way for investment in the Jenin Industrial Zone to be established in Palestine.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, during his official visit to Turkey
on President Erdoğan's invitation, received M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President
of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
During the meeting, the situation of the Jenin Organize Industrial Zone,
which will give life to the Palestinian economy under TOBB's initiative, was
discussed.
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out what needs to be one in
order to step forward in the establishment of the industrial zone in Jenin. Stating
that the Turkish side has fulfilled the investment commitment of 10 billion USD,
Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized their expectations of the Palestinian government.

problem of Jenin in its last stretch
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that they are following up on the
issue and that the relevant regulation was in its last stages before the
Council of Ministers.
Abbas explained that they foresee completion after Eid. Palestinian
President Abbas congratulated TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu for his efforts for
the Jenin Industrial Zone.
During the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu also expressed his regrets about the
events in the Masjid al-Aqsa. Ahmet Şekeroğlu, Chairman of Organized Industry
and Technology Regions, TOBB Peace Industry (TOBB-BİS) was also present at the
meeting.
