Giresun Commodity Exchange opened its new service building along with the Hazel Licensed Warehouse and Spot Exchange with the attendances of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, National Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli, Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkci and Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu talked about the importance of licensed
warehousing and product specialization commodity exchanges.
Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed that licensed warehousing will be groundbreaking
for Turkish agriculture and thanked the government, ministers, the Prime
Minister and the President of the Republic who contributed to this project.
Hisarcıklıoğlu, evaluating advantages this will provide farmers, said, “In
fact, my valuable farmer brothers who have undertake this business will be saved
from a great deal of burden and hopefully the next step is to determine the
price of these products at the product specialization market.
Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the importance of hazelnuts, “The hazelnut is
important not only for Giresun but also for our country strategically. They are
doing a first in Turkey by transitioning to licensed warehousing in order to
increase the value of hazelnuts.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu thanked the employees who contributed to the effort and
contributed to the opening of the building.

National Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli said that the facility would
open the way for the hazelnut to become gold in real terms considering the
operations to be carried out following this project.

Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkci stated that it is propitious
to be together on the which the licensed warehousing system for hazelnuts has
been actualized.

and Livestock
Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba emphasized
that the agriculture sector is of great importance in terms of human nutrition,
employment, economy contribution and export potential. In the future, food and
agriculture will be of much more critical importance.
