TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu participated in the foundation-laying ceremony of the new service building of the Tosya Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Stating that Tosya meets one third of Turkey's demand for door, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It is a city that has been a brand name in Turkey both in exports and in door production.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the people of Tosya are like those of
Kayseri, “They do not like expense or showing off. The CCI has served in its
current building until today. But that building is no longer able to meet the
needs of its staff. They’ve decided to build a service building that befits Tosya.
It's a matter of vision. Therefore I congratulate Tosya Chamber of Commerce and
Industry Board and Council.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they have been renewing chamber and commodity
exchange service buildings throughout Turkey and said, “I visited all chamber and
commodity exchange in Turkey in 2001 and was the first TOBB President to do so.
I saw the deficiencies at that time. With the campaign TOBB launched, we ensured
245 of our 365 chambers and exchanges transitioned to new service buildings, while
increasing the quality and standard of 120 existing service buildings. We did this
to provide better service to our members.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that chambers and commodity exchanges in Turkey
have added value to their cities and that, “Tosya CCI will contribute even more
to the development of Tosya with its new service building.”
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that TOBB has also built schools in
81 provinces and promised that a school would be built by TOBB in Tosya in the future.
