TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Joint Consultative Meeting of Ereğli Commodity Exchange and Ereğli Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Hisarcıklıoğlu began his speech by praying for the grace of Allah upon
our martyred soldiers during Operation Olive Branch in Afrin.
Stating that Ereğli is one of the largest and most developed counties of
Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “You are larger than 30 provinces. Ereğli, as it
is today, was a center of strategic priority in the past. In history, it was one
of the important stops on the İstanbul-Baghdad route.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that one of the important agricultural and
livestock centers of Konya is Ereğli.
Hisarcıklıoğlu, emphasizing the development of the agricultural-based
industry in Ereğli, reported that the establishment of an agriculture
specialized OIZ.
Stating that they have taken three important steps recently,
Hisarcıklıoğlu listed these as licensed warehouses, product specialization
stock exchange and stock exchange registration software.
The TOBB President reminded that Ereğli Chamber of Commerce and Industry
and the Commodity Exchange are the accredited chambers / stock exchanges.
Assessing the demand for a school expressed by Ereğli Chamber of
Commerce and Industry and the Commodity Exchange, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “You
want a school. We decided to provide 81 provinces 81 schools as per the
decision of TOBB Board of Directors in 2013. We will keep this promise by the
end of this year. If Allah gives life and duty, we will build a school in
Ereğli. You have my word.”
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu also opened the Community Mental Health
Center, built by Ereğli Commodity Exchange.
